The Apostles Are Treated Badly | Acts 5:17-42
Next, we head to Acts 5:17-42. When Jesus’ disciples started sharing about His death and resurrection with others, they faced all sorts of trouble. Thankfully, they had Jesus’ Holy Spirit to help them find joy.
Love others because God loves you.
Bottom Line
Choose joy no matter what’s going on.
From not making the team to struggling in a class at school, kids of all ages struggle with what it means to have joy when life is hard. We pray they start to discover what God can do in them to help them choose joy.
Message to Parents
Have you thought about the rhythm in your home? Can it set your family’s values? As we continue to talk about the Fruits of The Spirit this month, we want to encourage each of our Mission Grove families that YOU’VE GOT THIS! You may be doing a better job than you even think. Don’t look at your neighbor or sibling’s home for how they are doing things. Sometimes that comparison wreaks havoc in our hearts and it spews out in our home. Here is a Parent Cue that might give some tips and ideas. Please only use it for that. Not to put on scales what you think you should be doing – but more, what your could be doing. And High Five! We are proud of you!
