The story of the Good Samaritan is more powerful each time I read it. The idea that only one man, an “unclean” Samaritan man, came to help this injured man brings a compelling sense of injustice and even conviction to my heart. Would I be as kind and helpful as this Samaritan man was? Something we ask our kiddos to think about all the time in Sunday school, yet, we tend to think of all the reasons why it won’t be wise or how it’s not the best timing. Jesus shares why it’s always a good time, in this video and through another story of a Samaritan. This time, the woman at the well. Have you watched any of The Chosen? If you haven’t, believe me when I say, it is so very worth the time! I’m attaching a clip from the story of the Samaritan Woman at the Well. Please watch it to the end. If you are like me, it will be easy to put yourself in the space of the woman; unworthy, unclean, unsatisfactory… but not anymore. I know the Messiah, and yes, He told me everything I have done too, and He tells me, I am worthy! I am clean now! I am very satisfactory! I am chosen by Him. All because of His sacrifice for me. Me!? Yes!! And YOU too!
