Jesus Restores Peter | John 21:1-19 (John 18:1-27)
In John 21:1-19, we discover how Peter and several other disciples were out fishing on the Sea of Galilee without catching a single fish. Suddenly, they saw a man standing on the shore, who told them to try the other side of the boat. Sure enough: more fish than the net could carry! Peter immediately knew it was Jesus, and he took off toward the shore. After breakfast on the beach, Jesus showed humility again. Instead of being angry at Peter, He chose love and forgiveness.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Bottom Line
Put others first by making things right.
One of the most important ways we can show humility is by the way we treat others when we aren’t getting along with them. As kids are learning how to navigate friendships, we pray they also think about the ways they can work through arguments and hurt to make things right with others.
